Dr. Dorothy Bowen is an associate professor and faculty emeritus in Curriculum & Instruction. She teaches LIB 805, Advanced Children’s Literature and LIB 831, Classification and Cataloging.
The Foundation for the Advancement of Christian Libraries a.k.a. Association of Christian Librarians (ACL) is pleased to announce that Dr. Dorothy Bowen, retired Curriculum and Instruction faculty in Library Science, was honored at their recent annual Conference held at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, California, for her volunteer service of 12 years to the Association’s Commission for International Library Advancement (CILA) team. This team’s goal was to assist Christian libraries in other countries around the world and train librarians.

Dr. Ralph Turner is an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. He teaches LIB 800, Organization & Administration of School Media Center, and LIB 821, Information Literacy Resources & Services.
Dr. Kwan Yi is an associate professor at the Library Science Program, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY. He completed a PhD in Library and Information Science at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Prior to joining Eastern Kentucky University, he had worked as a faculty at the School of Library and Information Science, University of Kentucky. At EKU, he teaches courses in information organization and access, information resources, and information/educational technologies. Dr. Yi’s research interests include knowledge organization and representation, automatic classification, metadata, and natural language processing. Prof. Yi’s publications have appeared in top research journals in the field of Library and Information Science, including Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Journal of Documentation, Journal of Information Science, among others.
